Jeffrey V. Matteo is a 1976 graduate of St. Joseph’s
University, Philadelphia, PA where he received a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Politics, and where he was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha National
Honor Society, and Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. Mr. Matteo received
his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law in
Mr. Matteo has been associated with the Norristown, PA law firm of
Fox and Fox since January, 1982. He has substantial experience representing
injured workers in all aspects of proceedings under the Pennsylvania
Workers’ Compensation Act, including successful appeals to the
Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board and Pennsylvania Commonwealth
Court. He is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Committee
of the Montgomery Bar Association and the Workers’ Compensation
Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, which on May 1, 2013,
certified him as a Workers’ Compensation law specialist. Mr.
Matteo has also been selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by Super
Lawyers and Philadelphia Magazines for 2013 in the area of Workers’
In addition to representing injured workers in Workers’ Compensation
proceedings, Mr. Matteo represents employers and employees in Unemployment
Compensation claims including successful appeals to the Pennsylvania
Unemployment Compensation Board of Review.
Supplementing his busy practice in the labor and employment area,
Mr. Matteo has had extensive experience representing debtors and creditors
in commercial matters, mortgage foreclosures and bankruptcy proceedings,
including successful appeals to the United States District Court.
He also has represented numerous parties in personal injury and family
law matters as well as probate and estate administration and Orphans’
Court litigation, and has been named as a Five Star Wealth Manager
in the area of wills by Philadelphia Magazine in 2009, 2010 and 2012.
Mr. Matteo resides in Montgomery Township, PA with his wife Lisa
and is the father of Jeffrey V. Matteo, Jr., Diana C. Matteo, M.D.,
and Christina M. Matteo.
